Scope:
The system suppliyng the Candelero area
with potable water originates at the
Humacao
and the Rio Blanco filtration plants.
These facilities supply water to Cerro
Candelero,
Candelero and Cabrito sectors using a
network of branch piping 4” and 2” in
diameter,
served by two pumping systems and
several storage tanks and presusure -
lowering
tanks.
Improvements to the Candelero Arriba
water Distribution System will be
performed in two phases: Phase 1
encompasses replace the existing
Candelero 1 pump station with a new pump
station on a lot acquired by PRASA on
highway PR—3 plus construction of an
express discharge pipe from the pumping
station to Candelero 2 (Felo López)
tank. Phase 2 consists of replacing
existing pumping system Candelero 2 (Felo
López.) with one of adequate capacity,
and a discharge pipe to tanks Cabrito 1
and Cabrito 2. |
